International cooperation. Participation of the specialists of BelMAPE in the international multidisciplinary project

On the 28the of April, 2021, by the invitation from a professional information resource for dentists (the Russian Federation), professor of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of BelMAPE, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Irina Lutskaya gave a lecture on the topic "Pain and inflammation raise issue to dentists."

The online event was attended by physicians from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

During the lecture, there had been presented clinical cases with the manifestation of inflammation and pain in the maxillofacial region. The participants discussed specific examples of anti-inflammatory treatment, depending on the intensity of the pain reaction and the severity of the local process. The attention of doctors was drawn to the positive properties of drugs of the NSAID group, as well as to the need to take into account contraindications, restrictions and possible side effects when prescribing them.

The webinars are held to improve the professional level of interested faculty members of medical universities, physicians, clinical residents, graduate students. It is supposed to expand the possibilities of interdisciplinary approaches in the treatment of patients.
