International cooperation. Specialists of BelMAPE participated at the Congress “Control and prevention of infections associated with the provision of medical care -2021”

On the 25-26th of November, 2021, specialists of BelMAPE participated in the work of the IXth Congress with International Participation « Control and prevention of infections associated with the provision of medical care » (Moscow, Russian Federation). The conference was devoted to the problems of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of infections associated with the provision of medical care these days. The interdisciplinarity of the congress was emphasized by the participation of a wide range of specialists: epidemiologists, microbiologists, clinical pharmacologists, physicians of various clinical specialties, healthcare organizers and many others. Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics Anna Ruban, in her report “Vaccination: Emphasis on Antibiotic Resistance Control”, explained the possible mechanisms of the impact of immunoprophylaxis on curbing the rate of antibiotic resistance and preventing a number of infections associated with the provision of medical care, and also outlined problematic issues on this issue and ways to solve them.
