Memorial scientific and practical conference with international participation, dedicated to the memory of Professor V.V. Kurek

On the 25th of March 2022, there had been held the 9th Memorial Conference dedicated to the memory of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Viktor Kurek, head of the Department of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Resuscitation of BelMAPE, one of the founders of pediatric anesthesiology and resuscitation in our country. Opening the republican scientific and practical conference, vice-rector for research, MD, professor, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Gain noted the outstanding contribution of professor Victor Kurek to the development of pediatric anesthesiology and resuscitation of the Republic of Belarus, the relevance and multidisciplinarity of the topic of the conference, its focus on the practical aspects of the work of medical specialists.

The conference was attended by more than 560 anesthesiologists and resuscitators from all regions of the country, specialists from medical universities, specialized republican scientific and practical centers. The conference program included the most actual issues of pediatric anesthesiology and resuscitation at the present stage. Within the framework of the conference, practical approaches to such an important problem of practical healthcare as aspects of the treatment of hemalitoko-uremic syndrome, anaphylaxis in children, the use of drugs "of label use" and other issues were considered.
The scientific program of the conference included reports by leading domestic experts in relevant areas, representatives of pediatric departments of medical educational institutions and healthcare institutions of the Republic of Belarus, chief freelance specialists of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

The conference participants noted a good organization and high scientific level of all the reports, their practice-oriented focus, they stressed on the need to respect the continuity of generations, as well as the role of mentoring in the further professional growth of young professionals.
