Participation of BelMAPE at World Glaucoma Congress

Specialists of the Department of Ophthalmology of BelMAPE took part in the World Glaucoma Congress, which was held from June 30, 2021 to July 3, 2021. The congress was held online and gathered more than 2.8 thousand participants from more than 100 countries of the world.

On July 3, 2021, within the framework s of the forum, the Meeting of the Glaucoma Society of the CIS countries "Doctor and Patient - Where is the Stop Red Line?" was held. 178 participants from all over the world participated online at the Meeting.

During the meeting, professor T. Imshenetskaya, Vice President of the Glaucoma Society of CIS countries, head of the Department of Ophthalmology of BelMAPE, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and associate professor of the Department of Ophthalmology of BelMAPE G. Vashkevich gave the report «Ophthalmological care for glaucoma patients during the COVID-19 first and second waves in the Republic of Belarus”.  The report aroused great interest and active discussion among foreign colleagues, and the speakers received more than 20 positive responses during the session.
