On the 7-8th of October, 2021, specialists of BelMAPE participated in the work of the IIIrd All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation «Modern immunological prophylaxis: challenges, possibilities, perspectives» (Moscow).
More than 2700 participants took part in the conference (488 participants online) from 85 regions of the Russian Federation and countries across the former Soviet Union and beyond, including participants from Belarus. Specialists of the Department of Microbiology and Epidemiology of BelMAPE gave reports at the conference: Natalia Kolomiets, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor; Oksana Khanenko, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor; Oksana Tonko, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor; Anna Ruban, associate professor of the Department of Pediatrics, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor Anna Ruban.
Anna Ruban, associate professor, gave the report «Vaccination as the strategy of the reduction of antimicrobial resistance», which arose a great interest among organizers and participants of the forum. Natalia Kolomiets and co-speakers gave the reports «The future of the national immunization calendar in the Republic of Belarus» (the speaker – Oksana Romanova, head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of Belarusian State Medical University, Chairman of the Expert Council on Immunization of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus) and «Preventive vaccination against viral hepatitis in the Republic of Belarus — success an problems» (speaker — Veronika Vysotskaya, doctoral candidate of the Department of Epidemiology and Microbiology, head of the Department of immunoprophylaxis of the Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health). Associate professor O.N. Khanenko and O.V. Tonko emphasized upon the problems and achievements in the prevention of St. Hubert's disease in their collective report «Organization of the prevention of St. Hubert's disease in the Republic of Belarus».

Other speakers from other educational and healthcare establishments of the Republic of Belarus gave the reports: «Realization of the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 in the Republic of Belarus» (speaker - A.M. Dashkevich, head of the Department of Epidemiology of the Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health), «Pneumococcal disease in children — to treat or to prevent?» (speaker — M.V. Sokolova, head physician of the City Pediatric Infectious Clinical Hospital). The reports emphasized on the achievements in immunologic prophylaxis in the Republic of Belarus.
It is important to note a high scientific and methodological level and good organization of the forum in the conditions of COVID-19. Multidisciplinary approach of the conference made it possible to actively discuss the actual issues of immune prophylaxis.
