Republican Scientific and Practical Conference «Modern Manual Technologies in the Treatment and Rehabilitation» Was Held at BelMAPE

On the 31st of May 2022, there had been held the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Manual Technologies in the Treatment and Rehabilitation” at BelMAPE.

The conference was opened by the First Vice-Rector of BelMAPE Platonov A.V. He emphasized that the topics of the announced reports are relevant and practice-oriented, since the use of manual therapy helps to reduce the pharmacological burden on patients, avoids surgical interventions, and reduces treatment time.

Head of the Department of Reflexotherapy of BelMAPE Sivakov A.P. in his welcoming speech noted the need for further development of manual therapy.

In his report “Modification of the classification of vertebral neurological syndromes of academician Antonov I.P. for manual therapy doctors”, associate professor of the Department of Reflexotherapy of BelMAPE Rybin I.A., based on new clinical data, proposed updating of the classification of vertebral syndromes.

The report prepared by the specialists of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Neurology and Neurosurgery and the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Anatskaya L.N., Zabarovsky V. K., Svinkovskaya T. V., Gulevich N. P. «A multimodal approach to the diagnosis and selection of adequate methods of treatment for vertebrogenic dorsalgia in highly qualified athletes» contained research background of treatment tactics for back pain and own research on the features of the choice of effective treatment methods in athletes with this pathology.

The report given by the senior lecturer of the Department of Reflexotherapy of BelMAPE Kozel S. A. “Craniocervical pathobiomechanical syndrome in Covid-19” contained the results of the research on the study of various clinical manifestations of Covid-19 in patients with disorders of the craniocervical junction.

Assistant of the Department of Reflexotherapy of BelMAPE Rybin A. I. in his report “Manual therapy, massage, physiotherapy of exercise therapy for lumbosacral vertebral neurological syndromes” presented the clinical manifestations and methods of complex treatment of vertebral neurological syndromes of the lumbar level.

Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation of Grodno State Medical University Vasilevsky S. S. in his report "Manual Therapy of Thoracalgia" presented an anatomical and physiological substantiation of diagnostic and therapeutic methods of manual therapy in patients with vegetative-visceral thoracalgia.

The report of the senior lecturer of the Department of Reflexotherapy of BelMAPE Kozel S.A. “Manual therapy, massage, physiotherapy of exercise therapy for cervical vertebral neurological syndromes” contained data on the complex treatment of patients with neurological manifestations of cervical osteochondrosis.

In his report “Massage in the practice of a manual therapy doctor”, associate professor of the Department of Reflexotherapy of BelMAPE Rybin I. A. presented the classification and therapeutic possibilities of modern types of massage for manual therapy doctors.

Head of the neurological department of 1134th Military Clinical Medical Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus Gamanovich A. I. in his report "The phenomenon of resorption of the lumbar hernia of the intervertebral disc in clinical practice" dwelled in detail on the mechanisms of sanogenesis in herniated discs and presented his own clinical observations confirmed by MRI diagnostic data.

Associate Professor of the Department of Reflexothrapy of BelMAPE Rybin I. A. in the video "Hardware massage in the practice of a manual therapy doctor" presented the technique and methodology of hardware percussion massage in the spine and back.

At the end of the republican scientific-practical conference, a discussion took place.
