On the 8th of April, 2022, there had been held the Republican online seminar on the issues of management and care over women of reproductive age, pregnant and women in childbirth who underwent COVID-19 in outpatient clinics.
Leonid Neden, chief specialist of the Department of Medical Assistance to Mothers and Children of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor, and Alexei Chukanov, rector of BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor, addressed to the participants of the seminar with a welcome speech.
The seminar was attended by head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Medical Faculty of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov, Doctor of Medical, professor Yulia Dobrokhotova with the report «Covid-19 and Pregnancy». The report covered the incidence of coronavirus infection among pregnant women, the impact of the disease on the course of pregnancy and childbirth, the specifics of the course of Covid-19 in pregnant women, and recommendations for management in accordance with current regulations.
Associate Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences Grudnitskaya Elena, in her report, focused on menstrual irregularities that occur in women of childbearing age after suffering a coronavirus infection, and on the relevance of rehabilitation measures after the disease in both women and men for fertility restoration.

Tesakova Marina, associate professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, presented the report “Peculiarities of preconception preparation of women underwent a coronavirus infection”, in which she stressed on the problems of the impact of complications of Covid-19 infection on the state of somatic and reproductive health of women planning pregnancy, with the provision of international experience in expanding the scope and duration of individual mandatory inclusion of additional diagnostic and therapeutic measures, especially in women of late reproductive age with chronic somatic pathology.

Nebyshinets Larisa, head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor, presented the report “Accents of pregnancy management in the antenatal clinic after a coronavirus infection”, in which she outlined modern approaches, international clinical protocols, regulatory documents of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus , emphasizing that the primary tasks of managing pregnant women after COVID-19 are the timely diagnosis of placental insufficiency and the mandatory prolonged prevention of venous thromboembolic complications after inpatient treatment.
Elena Melnik, senior lecturer of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, made the report “Management of women in childbirth in outpatient clinics who underwent COVID-19”. The report covered the following issues: likelihood of infection of a newborn, admissibility of co-existence of a mother and child infected by COVID-19, possibility of breastfeeding, need for drug therapy and rehabilitation measures at the outpatient stage, choice of contraception.
Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of BelMAPE Voskresensky Sergey, Doctor of Medical Sciences, in his report stressed on the issues of fetal monitoring in the ante- and intranatal periods, emphasizing the importance of automatic program analysis in the antenatal period and the special place of visual assessment of CTG during childbirth.
Shorokh Irina, senior lecturer of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the BelMAPE, in her report “Ultrasound diagnostics of pathological conditions of the fetus in women with COVID-19 during pregnancy”, outlined the place of ultrasound diagnostics with Doppler in monitoring the standing of the fetus, its growth and development, in total of the maternal-placental-fetal complex and presented modern approaches to the interpretation of the results of feto- and dopplerometry with the formation of indications for early delivery.
Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Children's Infections Yuri Gorbich, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor, made the presentation “COVID-19: the time of OMICRON”, presented up-to-date world data on the incidence of various types of pathogens of coronavirus infection, international and domestic experience in inpatient and outpatient treatment of patients with this infection, including pregnant women, highlighted the role of vaccination in all populations.

Mardas Diana, assistant of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of BelMAPE, and Schaveleva Marina, head of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of BelMAPE, PhD, associate professor, raised the topic of information security of future and real parents in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, infodemic and the importance of work to improve the health literacy of the female population. They presented the results of a survey of pregnant women and shared user analytics of the work of the MAMAPRO information platform, with a separate PRO COVID section.
