On October 18–19, 2022, the I International MED-Congress “Human and Health. Multidisciplinary approach in medicine” was held at the Medical University of Semey, in Kazakhstan.
The Congress was co-organized by the leading universities of Kazakhstan, countries of near and far abroad, including State Educational Establishment "Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education".
MED-Congress brought together representatives of medical organizations, leading scientists and experts from leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkey, Japan, Russia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic and other countries of near and far abroad.
The Congress program included 7 scientific sections and 14 master classes.
On October 19, 2022, in the frameworks of the scientific section of the Congress "Pediatrics in the light of modern world trends", a teleconference was organized with the State Educational Establishment "Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education".
Opening the international teleconference, N. B. Omarov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Science and Strategic Development of NJSC Semey Medical University, greeted its participants and wished his colleagues a successful work.
From the Belarusian side, the Rector of BelMAPE A. N. Chukanov, the first vice-rector of BelMAPE A. V. Platonov, the dean of the pediatric faculty of BelMAPE O. G. Rodtsevich addressed the participants of the Congress with a welcoming speech.
Representatives of the administration of the academy, employees and clinical residents of the Department of Pediatrics, medical specialists from among the students of advanced training courses took part in the work of the teleconference and the breakout session from the Belarusian side.
During the breakout session, reports on the results of scientific research on the problem of vitamin D deficiency in children were made by employees of the Department of Pediatrics of BelMAPE.
Head of the Department of Pediatrics of BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, head of the Republican Center for Pediatric Osteoporosis A. S. Pochkaylo presented to the participants of the teleconference the report “Vitamin D deficiency is a controversial problem in modern pediatrics” with an overview of current international clinical guidelines on the problem.
Senior lecturer of the department A. A. Galashevskaya made a presentation “The problem of vitamin D deficiency in children with neurological pathology”, during which she acquainted the participants of the scientific event with the results of a study on the study of vitamin D supply in children with various neurological diseases, senior lecturer E. I. Dunaeva in the report "Vitamin D and rheumatic diseases in children" highlighted the problem of vitamin D deficiency in children with rheumatological pathology.
It is important to note that over the past years, close scientific and practical cooperation has been linking the Department of Pediatrics of BelMAPE and the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation named after D. M. Tusupova of NJSC Semey Medical University on many topical issues of modern pediatrics. The Cooperation Agreement concluded within the framework of the Congress held between State Educational Establishment “Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education” and NJSC “Semey Medical University” provides for the implementation of an extensive long-term plan of interaction, including joint participation in international scientific and educational projects and programs.
