The Republican Scientific and Practical Conference «Noninfectious Diseases during the Pandemic Covid-19» was held at BelMAPE

On the 15th of June 2022, there had been held the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference « Noninfectious Diseases during the Pandemic Covid-19» at State Educational Establishment «Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education». 250 specialists attended the conference.

The conference was opened by Alexei Chukanov, Rector of BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor, chief visiting specialist in ultrasound diagnostics of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

Both leading specialists of Belarus and colleagues from the Russian Federation who have practical experience in providing medical care to patients with coronavirus infection and chronic diseases made presentations at the conference.

During the conference, the issues of managing patients with cardiovascular diseases were covered, a wide range of issues was considered - from problems of vascular endothelial dysfunction and myocardial damage in Covid-19 to pharmacotherapy at the outpatient stage in patients with chronic heart failure, heart rhythm disturbances, arterial hypertension and dyslipidemia, also presented current positions on the role of a new coronavirus infection in the development of geriatric syndromes, post-covid syndrome.

A separate section "Behavioral and Mental Disorders in GP Practice" was devoted to the competence of a general practitioner in managing patients with psychosomatic comorbidity, depressive and anxiety disorders, as well as the negative consequences of alcohol consumption during the COVID-19 pandemic and possible responses.
