On June 29, 2022, the republican seminar "Topical issues of infectious pathology in outpatient practice" was held at BelMAPE.
The first vice-rector of BelMAPE Andrey Platonov addressed the participants of the seminar with a welcoming speech, who voiced the urgency of the problem of infectious diseases at the outpatient stage of medical care, which has been especially clearly demonstrated in recent years, which have passed under the sign of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event was attended by head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Childhood Infections Yuri Gorbich, whose report was devoted to respiratory tract infections and modern possibilities of their etiotropic treatment, and associate professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Childhood Infections Natalia Klimovich, who highlighted the issues of differential diagnosis of fever of unclear genesis — a condition that causes difficulties for virtually anyone a doctor who meets with a long-term feverish patient without other clear manifestations of the disease.
During the seminar, reports were made by the chief freelance infectious disease specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Igor Karpov on the diagnosis and possibilities of providing medical care for meningococcal infection, leading experts in the field of infectious hepatology in adults, Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of BSMU Dmitry Danilov and Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of BSMU Dmitry Litvinchuk regarding currently relevant issues of viral hepatitis B and C.
Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of BSMU Svetlana Lukashik presented a report on a topic that currently does not leave the front pages of all the world's leading media — smallpox of monkeys.
In her report, the chief physician of the 1st City Clinical Hospital of Minsk, Olga Esmanchik, presented information on the practical aspects of implementing elements of the e-health system in a modern polyclinic, as well as the possibilities of wider interaction between outpatient health care and hospitals.
The seminar aroused genuine interest among the listeners, whose number exceeded 150 people.
