Aleksei Sokolov

Aleksei Sokolov graduated from Saratov State Medical Institute in 1973 with a specialty in general medicine.

Until 1983, he had been working as a surgeon at Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, deputy head physician for clinical work at Saransk City Clinical Hospital №3, head physician of the Republican Antituberculosis Dispensary.

From 1983 to 1985, he worked as a physician at the Advisory Unit of the Scientific and Research Institute for Oncology and Medical Radiology named after Aleksandrov.

From 1985 to 1988, Aleksei Sokolov worked as a researcher at the Scientific and Research Institute for Physiology and Pulmonology.

Since 1988, he has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Management of BelMAPE.

• Issues of public health; healthy lifestyle; system of state social standards; economics of healthcare; organization of hospital and sanatorium business.

The main topics of the research work:

• Problems of the organization of medical care to the migration population; medical and social and economic aspects of healthcare organization; issues of the improvement of inpatient care.
