Andrei Pristrom

Andrei Pristrom was born in 1971 in the town of Naroch of Minsk region.  In 1994-1996, after the graduation from Minsk State Medical Institute, Andrei Pristrom underwent clinical residency in cardiology at the Department of Cardiology of Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training. From 01/09/1995 to 31/07/1996, he did internship in therapy at the 1st City Clinical Hospital of Minsk.  

In 1996, he started PhD training course at the Department of Cardiology of Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training, which he finished in 1998, defending his Candidate’s thesis in cardiology.

After PhD course, he worked as an assistant (from 01/09/1998 to 28/042004), an associate professor (from 29/04/2004 to 27/07/2008) and head (from 28/07/2008 to 25/032009) at the Department of Cardiology and Rheumatology of BelMAPE. Since March, 2009, Andrei Pristrom started to work as head of the Department of Cardiology and Rheumatology of BelMAPE.

From 01/10/2007 to 27/06/2008, Andrei Pristrom underwent Doctoral studies at the Department of Cardiology and Rheumatology of BelMAPE. Andrei Pristrom has the academic title of Doctor of Medical Sciences and professor. He defended his Doctoral thesis in 2009. In 2014, he got the academic title of professor in clinical medicine.

Andrei Pristrom consults patients at clinical bases of the department and at Professor’s Treatment and Advisory Center of BelMAPE.

Andrei Pristrom is an author of 330 publications, including 3 monographs, 39 study guides, 168 articles, 7 instructions for use, approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, 11 patents for invention.

He regularly gives reports at meetings, scientific and practical conferences and seminars.  

Andrei Pristrom performs a large amount of expert work: preparation of expert opinions on dissertations at the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, expert opinions on planned dissertations, scientific and technical projects, instructions for use, conclusions on the examination of documents for the appointment of multicenter clinical trials, preparation of reviews of articles in peer-reviewed journals.

He is a member of the editorial boards of the scientific journals "Cardiology in Belarus" (Belarus), "General Medicine" (Belarus), "Family Doctor" (Belarus), "Emergency Medicine" (Belarus-Ukraine), "Emergency Cardiology and Cardiovascular Risks" (Belarus). Since 2009, he has been a member of the Board of the Belarusian Public Association for Arterial Hypertension and the Belarusian League for Combating Arterial Hypertension.

Andrei Pristrom participates in the work of the Council of BelMAPE, Scientific and Research Council of BelMAPE, Council of the Therapeutic Faculty of BelMAPE, Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus No. 11 (as Deputy Chairman), Expert Commission on Cardiovascular Pathology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, Academic Council of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Cardiology", the Republican Attestation Commission (as a Deputy Chairman), an expert of the State Committee for Science and Technology, an expert of the Republican Formal Commission of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

Andrei Pristrom was awarded with certificates of honor of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee, the Health Protection Department of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, BelMAPE, the badge "Excellence in Healthcare of the Republic of Belarus" No. 2100 dated January 20, 2016.
