Dmitry Statkevich

Dmitry Statkevich was born in July, 1971.

In 1988, Dmitry Statkevich was admitted to Minsk State Medical Institute, Department of General Medicine. After the graduation, he worked as a psychiatrist at the Republican Clinical Mental Health Hospital, where he had been working as head of the Unit for the treatment of patients with drug addiction for 11 years. Besides, he worked at the Republican Center for Drug Monitoring and Prevention of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Mental Health, Minsk Regional Narcological Dispensary; he was in charge of the Unit of Social Rehabilitation at the Medical Center «Paratsels». Dmitry Statkevich completed a PhD course on narcology at Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

Since 2013 until the present, he has been working as an assistant at the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology of BelMAPE. His main scientific interest is the issue of addictions to psychoactive substances.

Dmitry Statkevich is a psychiatrist - narcologist of the 1st category. He is a certified gestalt - therapist.

He is a consultant of a mobile anonymous counseling center for injecting drug users.
