Pediatrician with the highest qualification category, associate professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Infections of BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences

Elena Kishkurno graduated from Medical University, Pediatric Faculty
She did internship in infectious diseases.
From 1999 to 2000, she underwent clinical residency in pediatrics at Belarusian State Medical University.  

Elena Kishkurno had been working at Children’s Infectious Clinical Hospital for 11 years.  

Her thesis was «Clinical and etiological characteristics of enterovirus infection in children and rational approaches to its diagnostics and therapy».

At present, Elena Kishkurno has been working at Doctoral thesis entitled «Posttransplant viral complications: etiological characterization, diagnostics, treatment and prevention»).

Her main scientific interests are the following ones:

  • Infectious diseases in immunocompromised patients.
  • Infections of central nervous system in children.
  • Etiotropic therapy of bacterial infections.
  • Prenatal infections.
  • Vaccinal prevention. Vaccination of immunocompromised patients.

Since 2016 until the present, Elena Kishkurno has been working at State Committee for Science and Technologies of the Republic of Belarus.

Membership:

  • member of the International Organization ESPID since 2006;
  • member of the International Association for Clinical Microbiology and Antibacterial Chemotherapy.

Scientific works:
Elena Kishkurno is an author of more than 140 scientific works, including educational guides and monographs.
