Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences
Elena Kunder was born in 1975 in Vitebsk. In 1998, she graduated from Vitebsk State Medical University with a distinction. From 1998 to 2000, she did clinical residency in therapy; from 2000 to 2011, she worked at the Department of Hospital Therapy of Vitebsk State Medical University (from 2000 to 2008 – as an assistant, from 2007 – as an associate professor, from 2010 – as a professor). Since 2011, she has been working as a professor at the Department of Cardiology and Rheumatology of Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.
In 2001, she defended Candidates thesis in internal diseases. In 2008, she got the academic title of an associate professor. In 2010, she defended Doctoral thesis in rheumatology. In 2013, she got the academic title of a professor.
From 1998 to 2012, Elena Kunder participated in different scientific projects.
She is an author of more than 300 scientific and educational publications. Among them there are 6 monographs, 111 articles in journals, 31 articles in conferences materials, 83 theses of reports.
She is a coauthor of 13 instructions for use, approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, 2 patents. Elena Kunder is an author and coauthor of 14 rationalization proposals.
Elena Kunder constantly undergoes advanced training courses not only in Belarus, but also in Russia.
She has the highest category as a physician. She provides advisory support to the patients with rheumatologic diseases. She participates in the organization of the republican meetings, conferences and seminars, international conferences.
Her scientific interests include inflammatory autoimmune diseases of musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, immunopathogenesis of rheumatologic diseases.
In 2013 and in 2020, Elena Kunder was a laureate of the President’s scholarship of the young scientists of the Republic of Belarus.
She is a member of the Board of Belarusian Society of Rheumatologists, Belarusian Association of Physicians.
