Elena Rutskaya

Elena Rutskaya was born in 1962 in Minsk.

In 1985: she graduated from Minsk State Medical Institute, Faculty of General Medicine, with distinction.

1985-1986: internship on roentgenology, 9th City Clinical Hospital in Minsk.

1986- 1996: a roentgenologist and a researcher at the Scientific and Research Institute for Oncology and Medical Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

In 1993, Elena Rutskaya defended Candidate’s thesis «Complex introscopic diagnostics of bone sarcomas».

Since 1994, she had been working as an assistant at the Department of Ultrasound Diagnostics of BelMAPE; since 1995, Elena Rutskaya had been in charge of the course on computer and magneto-resonance tomography in BelMAPE.

1996-1997: a roentgenologist at the Computer Tomography room of Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital. From 1997 to 1999, she worked as a roentgenologist at the Computer Tomography room of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology.

Since 1997 until the present, she has been working as an associate professor of the Department of Radiology of BelMAPE.

In 1998, she got the highest qualification category in radiology and radiotherapy.

 Since 1999 until the present, she has been working as head of the Unit of Radiology and Radiotherapy of the Republican Scientific an Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology.

Her scientific interests include: radiology of oncological and lymphoproliferative diseases in children, fungal infection of lungs in onco-hematological patients, oncological diseases of the skeletal system. She participated in scientific projects on pediatric oncology of the International Scientific and Technical Center (2004-2006, 2007-2010). She was the first in the Republic of Belarus, who mastered and implemented the method of KT-angiography into practice. She regularly participates at the republican and international conferences.

From 1995 to 2010, Elena Rutskaya had been the national representative of the Republic of Belarus in the European Committee of Postgraduate Training of Radiologists.  

Since 2010, she has been the national representative of the Republic of Belarus in the Committee of National Societies of the European Association of Radiologists.

Since 2013, Elena Rutskaya has been a chairwoman of the Board of the Society  of Radiologists of the Republic of Belarus.
