Elvira Malevich

Elvira Malevich was born in 1960 in the town of Labinsk of Krasnodar region. In 1978, she finished secondary school № 51 in Minsk with a gold medal; in 1984, she graduated from Minsk Medical Institute, Pediatrics Faculty. Elvira Malevich did internship in radiology at Minsk Clinical Hospital № 9. From 1985 to 1994, she worked as a radiologist. From October, 1994, she worked as a radiologist at the Republican Hospital of the Presidents’ Affairs Administration of the Republic of Belarus, and since 1996 until the present – as head of the Radiology Unit at the same hospital.
From 1998, Elvira Malevich worked as an assistant at the Department of Radiology of BelMAPE, from 2003 – as an associate professor, since 2005 – as a professor.

The main areas of scientific researches: functional and inflammatory diseases of the bowel, degenerative and dystrophic diseases of the spine and joints, acute inflammatory diseases of respiratory organs, chronic obstructive processes in lungs, physical and technical properties of the X-ray film, roentgen-contrast tools, strategic and tactic peculiarities of the development of radiology in the Republic of Belarus.

Elvira Malevich is an author of 145 publications, including 4 monographs, such as «Chronic colitis and their differentiated roentgen diagnostics» (1999), «Methods of objectification in diagnostics of cervical vertebral osteochondrosis» (2007), «Radiology of shoulder area in patients with osteochondrosis» (2010), «Radiology at lungs diseases» (2012); 5 educational guides, such as «Thematic manual on roentgen diagnostics of lung and mediastinum diseases» (2005),  «Thematic manual on roentgen diagnostics of the bone system diseases» (2005), «Thematic manual on roentgen diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases» (2006), «Thematic manual on roentgen diagnostics of digestive diseases» (2010), «Qualification tests on radiodiagnostics: theoretical issues and situational tasks» in 3 volumes (2000, 2009, 2012).  Elvira Malevich has 10 patents for invention and more than 50 certificates for rationalization proposals.  

Elvira Malevich is a member of the Dissertation Supervisory Committee of N.N. Aleksandrov Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology, vice chairman of the Academic Council of the Republican Hospital of the Presidents’ Affairs Administration of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the scientific society of radiologists. She is a member of editorial boards dealing with the preparation of educational materials for publication.
