Olga Govorukhina

In 1981, Olga Govorukhina finished secondary school №79 in Minsk and was admitted to the Pediatric Faculty of Minsk Medical Institute, which she graduated from in 1987.

From 1987 to 1988, she did an internship in surgery at the Center for Pediatric Surgery of Minsk City Clinical Hospital № 1.

From 1988 to 1991, she worked as a pediatric surgeon at Minsk Outpatient Clinic № 16.

From 1992 to 2006, Olga Govorukhina worked as a surgeon at the Surgery Unit №1 of the Center for Pediatric Surgery of Minsk City Clinical Hospital № 1.

In 2005, Olga Govorukhina defended her Candidate’s thesis entitled: «Morphological criteria of etiology and pathogenesis of functional megacolon in children».

In 2006, she started to work as head of the Purulent Surgery Unit of the Center for Pediatric Surgery of Minsk City Clinical Hospital № 1.

Olga Govorukhina got the highest qualification category in 2006.

She is an author of more than 30 scientific works, which are mainly devoted to pediatric coloproctology.
