Sergei Khoruzhik

Sergei Khoruzhik was born in October, 1973, in Grodno. 

1990-1996: Grodno State Medical Institute, Faculty of General Medicine, Grodno;

1996-1997: internship in radiology, Grodno Regional Clinical Hospital, Grodno;

1997-2002: a roentgenologist of the Room of Roentgen Computer Tomography of Grodno Regional Clinical Hospital, Grodno;

2001-2006: PhD course of the Department of Radiology of BelMAPE, Minsk;

2002-2006: a roentgenologist of the Room of Roentgen Computer Tomography at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N. Aleksandrov;

2005-2009: assistant of the Department of Radiology of BelMAPE;

Since 2006 until the present: a roentgenologist of the Room of Magnetic and Resonance Tomography at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N. Aleksandrov;

Since 2009 until the present: associate professor of the Department of Radiology of BelMAPE.

In 2011, he got the academic title of associate professor in clinical medicine. 

Membership:

  • Society of Radiologists of the Republic of Belarus;
  • European Society of Radiologists; 
  • European Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology;
  • European Society of Molecular and Functional Visualization in Radiology. 

Scientific interests:

  • Diffusion-weighted MRI in oncology (lymphomas, cervical cancer, etc.);
  • Computer-assisted diagnostics of peripheral lung nodules;
  • Planning of radiotherapy, evaluation of the efficiency of treatment, radiation-induced lung damages at lung cancer;
  • Radiation doses for CT.

Sergei Khoruzhik is a journal reviewer of “European Radiology”, the official journal “European Society of Radiologists”.

He is an author of more than 130 publications, among them there are 40 ones in English. 

He did internships in radiology in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Poland, France, and Sweden. 

Participation in international scientific congresses on radiology and oncology in Europe, USA, Japan and CIS-countries.
