- Tamara Tyabut was born in the town of Polotsk, Vitebsk region. From 1968 to 1974, she underwent training at Minsk Medical Institute. From 1974 to 1975, she did internship in therapy at Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital. From 1975 to 1979, she worked as a physician at Cardiology Unit of Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital.
- From 1979 to 1980, she was a clinical resident at the Department of Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics of Belarusian Institute for Advanced Medical Training.
- From 1980 to 1983, she was a PhD student of the Department of Cardiology of Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training.
- From 1983 to 1993, she worked as an assistant, from 1993 to 2002 – as an associate professor of the Department of Cardiology.
- From 1999 to 2002, she was in charge of the Course on Rheumatology at the Department of cardiology of BelMAPE.
- In 2002, after the reorganization of the department, she was taken to the post of professor of the Department of Cardiology and Rheumatology of BelMAPE.
- In 1985, Tamara Tyabut defended Candidate’s thesis. In 1999, she defended Doctoral thesis. In 1994, she got the academic title of associate professor, in 2004 – the academic title of professor.
The main directions of her research activities: study of cellular and neurohumoral mechanisms of athero-thrombogenesis, psychophysiological and neurohumoral disorders at cardiac and rheumatic diseases. She is an author of 230 research publications, methodological documents and textbooks on cardiology and rheumatic diseases, an author and co-author of 4 monographs: « Diagnosis of cardiac diseases "(1990)," Practical cardiology "(1997)," Non-coronary myocardial diseases", “Infectious endocarditis” (2004),“ Clinical cardiology ” (2007).
From 1995 to 2001, Tamara Tyabut was a chief cardiologist of the Committee for Healthcare of Minsk City Executive Committee, from 2001 to 2002 – a chief therapist of the Ministry of the Republic of Belarus. For more than 10 years she had been working in the Higher Attestation Commission under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus - Secretary, a Deputy Chairman, a Chairman of the Expert Council № 11 of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the Expert Council on Health at the State Committee for Science and Technology, a member of 2 specialized Councils for the Defense of Dissertations at the Republican Scientific Research Center "Cardiology" and Belarusian State Medical University.
In 2001, she was elected as an honorary member of the European Society of Cardiology. She is a member of the Association of Rheumatologists of Russia, a member of the presidium of the Belarusian Society of Rheumatologists, Belarusian Public Organization "Let's defeat osteoporosis together", a member of the Belarusian Society of Cardiologists, Public Association "Belarusian Association of Doctors".
She was awarded a Diploma in connection with the 60th anniversary of Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training (1992), a badge "Excellence in Health of the Republic of Belarus" (1999). She was repeatedly awarded diplomas from Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training, BelMAPE, the Health Committee of Minsk City Executive Committee, the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.
